About Me

My name is Ethan Williams and I am a graduate of Chapman University where I received my bachelor of the arts degree in film studies with a minor in digital storytelling. I believe my experience as a film studies major has taught me to think critically whereas my minor in digital storytelling, which is a branch of the journalism program at Chapman, has taught me to think curiously. My time at Chapman culminated with my thesis capstone project, "Subjectivity and the Nature of Reality in MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO," which brought together my skills in analysis, writing, auditory presentation, and editing.

I always retain this mindset in the workspace where I look for the most creative and effective solutions to problems. Since graduating from Chapman in 2021, I was recently employed as a production designer at the smart home electronics company Vesync as well as their other brands. My role there as a production designer helped me express myself creatively as well as analytically, always keeping in mind a visual voice for the audience we’re marketing towards. I’ve gained plenty of experience working in both pre-production and on professional sets, taking up a leadership role to execute my creative vision.

Over the years I have also developed many skills through using Adobe products such as digital drawing and graphic design in Photoshop, video editing in Premiere Pro, and audio recording, mixing, and presentation in Audition.

I strive to create such a positive working environment around me that anyone I’m working with will be just as enthused over their work as I am. Though I never let my passions ever overshadow my judgment. I’ve been disciplined through my academics enough to think positively yet critically about my work so it can be the absolute best it can be.
